Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
You will transfer from the airport and enjoy a city tour in Kigali the Capital city of Rwanda. Where you will visit places like the Genocide Memorial, National Museum and other interesting sites. Later you will transfer to volcanoes National park. Where all meals and accommodation will either be luxury or mid-range or budget, depending on your taste and preference and also budget.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking and Canopy
After briefing, you will set off for your gorilla tracking in the forests. After which you will also enjoy a canopy walk in the forest. All meals and accommodation will either be luxury, mid-range or budget, depending on your taste and preference and also budget.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali:
After breakfast, visit Gisenyi or enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kivu before returning to back to Kigali, with breakfast and lunch.
You will be informed that gorilla tracking can be strenuous because of Volcanoes’ challenging terrain. Remember to carry packed lunch and drinking water, and wear comfortable boots or sturdy shoes, as well as carry a light rain jacket as Volcanoes has unpredictable weather. You will be provided with walking sticks which will be available from the park rangers. And also bear in mind that due to conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas will always be limited to only one hour
