3 Days Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale
The 3 Days Kibale Budget Chimpanzee safari takes you to Kibale Forest National Park, the park contains one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. Forest cover, interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, dominates the northern and central parts of the park on an elevated plateau. The park is home to a total of 70 mammal species, most famously 13 species of primate including the chimpanzee. It also contains over 375 species of birds. Kibale adjoins Queen Elizabeth National Park to the south to create a 180km-long corridor for wildlife between Ishasha, the remote southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Sebitoli in the north of Kibale National Park.
Day1: Kampala-Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, meet our guide and thereafter transfer to Kibale forest via Mityana-Mubende high way, and take short unforgettable stop to the Nakayima tree to experience the legendary tale cultural and norms of her life story and it is believed that at this tree that has leaved for more hundred centuries tribes like the Baganda, Ankole visit the place to consult their ancestor. After drive towards Fort portal town to your lodge in the forest, dinner and overnight at Kyaninga lodge/Ndali lodge/Kibale primate cottages/Kibale safari lodge/Kibale forest camp. Meal plan: H/B
Day2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk
Have an early breakfast before your primate tracking adventure in the forest. Take the half day tracking experience. As you search for Kibale’s resident chimpanzees, keep an eye out for other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys along with L’Hoest’s, red colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys. Your expert guide will share the secrets of the forest’s flora and fauna, ensuring that the trail is both informative and enjoyable. After lunch, for those not on participating in chimp habituation, the Bigodi Women’s Group will take you on a fascinating boardwalk trail through the papyrus swamp of the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, meal plan: F/B
Day3: Kibale Forest-Kampala
After your breakfast, embark our safari truck and take short cultural tour around fort portal town to Karambi Tombs, Toro palace and transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route, shop some of African souvenirs and art shopping to take back home. After transfer to airport for your return flight back home. End of services
