Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

On arrival at the Kigali International Airport, meet our guide then later  transfer to Volcanoes National Park with en-route stop overs at the Genocide memorials and lunch. After a while driving, you reach the Park then go on a guided Village Walk then later proceed to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight at Lebombou lodge, Laplame Hotel, Kinigi Guest house. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Have breakfast then later transfer to the park head quarters for briefing about the mountain gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide, penetrate the forest to track the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking many photos to keep for memories. Dinner and Overnight, meal plan: F/B

Day 3: Dian Fossey Centre then transfer to Mgahinga National Park

After having breakfast, transfer to visit the Dian Fossey centre along Mount Bisoke Volcano and when you reach here learn about the work of Dian Fossey who sacrificed her life to save that of the Gorillas. After your adventure, proceed on your journey to Uganda’s  Mgahinga National Park and on arrival here, check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight as above. Meal Plan F/B.

Day 4: Batwa Cultural Performances

After having breakfast, proceed to Mgahinga National Park to experience the Batwa local people to learn about their way of life in the forest. They are known hunter-gatherers and fierce warriors who depended on the forest for shelter, food and medicine thanks to ancient knowledge passed down for generations.

A visit to the Batwa trail permits visitors to discover the magic of the indigenous people old home while partaking in nature walks and learning about the group’s cultural heritage as they demonstrate hunting techniques; gather honey; point out medicinal plants and demonstrate bamboo cups.  Explore the sacred Ngarama Cave, once home to the Batwa King, where the women of the community perform a sorrowful song which echoes eerily around the depths of the dark cave, and leaves guests with a striking and moving sense of the richness of this fading culture. Day 5: Departure to Kigali

After your breakfast, embark on a transfer to Kigali with lunch en-route and when you reach Kigali International Airport, board your flight back home.
